We had a magicial and fun-filled World Book Day at Heath Mount Primary School on Thursday 3rd March 2022. The children and staff dressed up as their favourite book character and they participated in a number of exciting activities throughout the day to celebrate their joy of reading.
Year 6 created their own comic strips based the Bronze Age of comics.

Year 2 designed a book cover based on their favourite book and they also created their favourite characters.
Year 1 designed book covers based on their reading spine and decorated character from their favourite books.

As part of World Book Day classes had a special visit from a different teacher. The teachers were asked to share and read their favourite book. The children thoroughly enjoyed this experience
Our book fair was a massive success. Lots of children purchased books that they will treasure for a lifetime.
